The Compass mine at Cote Blanche produces chemical grade salt and rock salt for deicing throughout the Midwest.

AMS, a mining services company, has been providing the mine with contract labor and construction services for about one year. Our maintenance labor force is servicing the mobile equipment, crushers, conveyors, and ventilation system, and providing field welding service.

AMS has executed several small construction projects as well as providing general mine maintenance services.
